We’re looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our data platform team. The project operates within the iGaming industry, where you’ll work with modern AWS data stack components to design, optimize, and maintain scalable data solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong experience with AWS ecosystem (e.g., S3, EMR, Glue, Redshift, Lambda, Step Functions, Athena).
• Proficient in Python with hands-on experience in Spark, including PySpark.
• Experience in implementing DWH on analytical databases such as Redshift.
• Solid understanding of ETL/ELT orchestration (cron / Airflow / dbt), incremental loads, monitoring, and notifications.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and performance tuning.
• Understanding of Data Lakes, Data Warehousing, OLAP/OLTP approaches, and ETL/ELT processes.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, version control (Git), and CI/CD tools.
• Advanced SQL proficiency (Postgres and Redshift), including CTEs, window functions, query optimization, and performance tuning for large datasets.
• Experience in setting up and monitoring data quality metrics and enforcing data consistency and completeness.

Nice to Have:

• Having AWS Cloud certifications.
• Knowledge of Docker.
• Experience with streaming platforms (Kafka, Kinesis)
• BI tools knowledge (Power BI / Tableau / Metabase/ Pentaho BI ) for dashboard creation.
• Familiarity with popular formats: Parquet / CSV / JSON / Iceberg.
• Skilled in implementing data quality frameworks and contracts to ensure accurate and complete data.
• Experience setting up monitoring and logging(Grafana).

Responsibilities:

• Building scalable solutions that address key business challenges in data engineering, product insights, and analytics, using Power BI for reporting and dashboards.
• Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, design technical solutions, and deliver impactful data products.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and reliable data pipelines using Python, Redshift, and PySpark on the AWS cloud platform.
• Architect and implement end-to-end data solutions, from data ingestion and processing to storage in our DWH on Redshift and data lake.
• Utilize AWS services like Redshift, Lambda, Glue, Emr, CloudWatch, Airflow and Step Function to build, orchestrate, and manage complex data workflows
• Leverage CI/CD tools to automate deployment of data workflows and cloud infrastructure.
• Implement and enforce comprehensive data quality frameworks, including data profiling, cleansing, and validation routines to ensure the highest levels of data integrity and trust.
• Refactor and tune data pipelines to achieve optimal throughput, elasticity, and cost-effectiveness, supporting sustainable data growth.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level data engineers. Lead code reviews and champion best practices in data engineering, coding standards, and data modeling.
• Support and troubleshoot production data pipelines, identify root causes of issues, and implement effective, long-term solutions.
